Aircraft Mechanic / Technician [Luxembourg]


 

TASK RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accomplish work on aircraft, aircraft systems and accessories in accordance with the relevant aircraft technical manuals and instructions
  • Carry out routine tasks/checks and rectify defects on the flight line and in the hangar
  • Ensure work is carried out following aircraft manufacturer's procedures and maintenance practices
  • Ensure duties are accomplished in accordance with EASA and Cargolux procedures and standards laid out in the Cargolux Maintenance Manual Exposition (MME)
  • Signing off work using correct and approved documentation

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

  • Secondary technical education or accomplished apprenticeship with focus on aircraft mechanics
  • Be holder of an EASA AML B1 and/or B2 license
  • Experience in 747-400 aircraft maintenance or 747-8 aircraft maintenance will be considered as an advantage
  • Minimum 4 years' experience acquired in the field (after the apprenticeship/basic training)
  • Being open-minded and relating comfortably with diverse groups of people
  • Be fluent in English, other languages are considered as an advantage
  • Ability to work in team as well as independently
  • Have good, standard knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word), Outlook

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Position based in Luxembourg
  • A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
  • The successful candidate will have to obtain a valid medical fitness certificate for the job issued by the Company doctor prior to the start of the employment
  • The position qualifies as safety-sensitive personnel as per EU Regulation 965/2012. The successful candidate will have to be tested for psychoactive substances prior to the start of the employment.
  • Be prepared to travel when required
  • Willing to work on shifts 24/7/365
  • Possess a valid driving license
