Operations and Development
- Provide leadership, development and guidance to direct reports.
- Execute and achieve assigned goals in the East Operations Plan to create value and success.
- Ensure the East Operations Plan is communicated and understood, and goals are cascaded down to direct reports.
- Ensure the East Operations Plan is updated to reflect the needs of the business with the agreed goals and their completion dates accurately stated in the Plan.
- Undertake meetings with the Operations Team.
- Review Mackay Operations’ Leave Report, scan compliance, rostering and provide feedback to operations.
- Lead, prevent or mitigate the amount of damaged assets, freight or discrepancies and ensure to resolve the matter using the proper NCR Reporting Process and working with the Key Account Manager to resolve in a professional and timely manner.
- Work with the Business Development team on bringing in new business.
Finance
- Work within the Mackay budget to meet financial targets as well as support the reduction in operating and labour costs.
- Support reduction in operating costs across Mackay Operations to create value for the operations and the customer.
- Work with the Equipment and Maintenance Team to lower asset costs by managing depreciated assets, lease costs, following-up on warranty recovery, the elimination of redundant equipment, monitoring and safely utilising ageing assets and tracking and controlling spare parts across Mackay Operations.
- Maximise the utilisation of assets across Mackay Operations to ensure optimal efficiency and with zero or minimal downtime or wastage.
People and Culture
- Ensure Performance Development Reviews are conducted and Key Performance Objectives are set with direct reports ensuring they are clear on the performance level required in their roles
- Recognise employee service to the business and celebrate the milestone in accordance with the Company’s policy and procedures.
- Implement the Mackay Operations Team organisation structure to provide service and coverage to meet the East Operational Plan that provides customer service excellence.
- Ensure all new staff are onboarded correctly and engaged from commencement.
- Review Employee Engagement Results and implement action plan measures to improve engagement.
- Ensure all compliance activities are completed.
Safety
- Manage the Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate, Critical Incident Frequency Rates and Environmental Incidents for Mackay Operations to meet agreed targets.
- Conduct Critical Risk Interactions and drive Critical Risk Assessments.
- Ensure toolbox and prestart compliance activities.
