The U.S. Embassy in Helsinki is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Warehouse Worker.
The work schedule for this position full time, 40 hours per week.
Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (four weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
DUTIES:
- Performs manual supply and warehousing duties, typically in a warehouse
- Keeps track of warehouse equipment maintenance, including but not limited to forklift trucks, hand trucks and warehouse cleaning equipment
- Physically unloads and loads service vehicles and shipping containers
- Operates U.S. Embassy service vehicles when delivering government property to locations within the greater Helsinki area
- The incumbent must be able to perform moderately heavy work and make heavy lifts at times
Must be able to operate a fork lift truck.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE
One year of warehouse experience, or an equivalent combination of warehouse / laborer / cargo delivery experience.
EDUCATION
Completion of secondary school required.
LANGUAGE
Limited level of English is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Local truck driver's license required (class C / C1).
